Restaurant Review: Pawit’s Royal Thai Cuisine – Utah

pawits-thai

Restaurant review: Finally made it to Pawit’s Royal Thai Cuisine in Holladay, Utah. Fantastic fresh Thai dishes! We enjoyed curry puffs and sticky rice with peanut sauce for appetizers. Their house green salad was huge and a whole sliced mango (I saved some for dessert). The Tom Kha soup is on the sweet side, but lots of veggies. The Spicy Tofu dish is fantastic… Plenty of veggies and the sauce has some kick! If you want the “real” Sriracha, ask for it on the side… Use sparingly, unless you like your taste buds fried. Great restaurant for date night, family meals out or business lunch. Kind and helpful wait staff. Make sure to check out the bathroom…

Restaurant Review: Finca – Utah

finca

Restaurant review: Finca is a little slice of Spanish divine cuisine in Sugar House. Met a friend for business lunch to discuss my upcoming trip to Spain (stay tuned for awesome restaurant reviews in late December). James Gehrke is quite the foodie too, so I knew this would be an epicurean delight! When I showed us, he had the cheese and fruit platter already at the table. Nibbling on almonds, grapes, manchego cheese, crispy toasts and dried fruits, we asked the helpful waitress for suggestions. She highly recommended a tapas assortment since it was both our first time there. We enjoyed sardines on creamy cheese spread with sauteed onions and bellpeppers… an explosion of salty creamy sweetness. Wow. The moist meatballs, albondigas, floating in a creamy tomato sauce were mildly spiced but oh so delicious! Garbanzo beans with chard and butternut squash was a wonderful autumn inspired vegan dish. My favorite dish was the roasted brussel sprouts… My mouth is watering again thinking about that dish. Totally looking forward to returning for dinner sometime soon. Simply put into one word: fantastic.

Restaurant Review: Omar’s Rawtopia – Utah

omars-rawtopiaI finally made it to Omar’s Rawtopia in Salt Lake. If you’re looking for a‪ unique‬ ‪‎cuisine‬ ‪experience‬, check out‪ Omars Rawtopia‬ for sure! Previously even‪ ‎meatlovers‬ have told me how amazing the food is… and I totally ‪‎agree‬!
We enjoyed the ‪‎falafel‬ ‪‎salad‬, ‪sweet‬ ‪‎basil‬ salad with ‪‎bean‬ ‪burrito‬, and ‪‎creamy‬ ‪berry‬ ‪‎dessert‬. With every bite, it was seemingly a new dish with‪ ‎flavors‬ exploding into ‪‎aromatic‬ ‪#gardens‬ in our mouths. Details like gorgeous ‪‎plating‬ to ‪‎edible‬‪ flowers‬ makes for a really ‪‎beautiful‬ ‪‎eating‬ experience. Great spot for 2 people to eat together, as they mostly have ‪2 person seating‬ with their tiny ‪dining‬ room of only 10 tables. Service isn’t quick and dishes‬ are a little‪ expensive‬, but the #flavors are worth it, if you make the ‪time‬. Perfect for friends lunch out, business lunch, date night. I look forward to enjoying more of their raw and organic edible delights! In Sugar House, SLC, UT

Restaurant Review: Paradise Bakery – Utah

paradise bakeryNeed a quick place in American Fork for nutritarian or vegan meal… or in any area dominated by fast food? Paradise Bakery’s Mixed Greens salad is easily customized. First, start with large size, add sunflower seeds and edamame for protein. Have it tossed with red wine vinegar and grab extra lemon slices near drinks for extra pop of flavor. Not a bad alternative… and you’ll fill your stomach with low cal, high nutrient lunch. Much better for the body and mind than most places in the area. Great spot for business lunch, family gatherings and they offer free wifi.

Restaurant Review: Thailand Restaurant – Utah

thailand-restaurant-draperThailand Restaurant in Draper.

Veggie spicy pad ped, Tom ka, veggie egg rolls? Yes, please! Thai House in Draper was sold and renamed to Thailand Restaurant. Same great location, food is pretty good too. My only gripe was not enough wait staff for busy lunch, otherwise great location for business lunch.

Restaurant Review: Thai Basil – Utah

Restaurant Review: Tin Roof Grill – Utah

tin-roof-grill-sandyQuick dinner out to Tin Roof Grill in Sandy UT. Peanut Noodle dish made vegan with no chicken and add extra veggies. Pork & veggie pot stickers with chicken lettuce wrap are great for the meat lover. Eclectic menu sporting #pasta dishes to tapas to Asian fare. I’ve enjoyed their low-key environment good for business meals to date nights.
