Celebrating a work success so out we go to dinner, a rare occasion these days for our little family. The Ramen Soup 🍜was easily the best dish of the night! Although the sushi 🍣 was welcomed because I rarely have it anymore. The Naruto roll had a lovely light sweet sauce, the Avocado Bomb filled with spicy fish was quite the mouthful, stay away from the Tornado because way too greasy with fried roll – although the pile of fried noodles in the middle was impressive!

Restaurant Review: Taco Janes – California
I’ve heard great things about Taco Janes in San Anselmo for years, so I was pleased to join my mom her long time BFFs for dinner. While the menu sports plenty of meat lover Mexican dishes, I was delighted to find several veggie based dishes too. I enjoyed the veggie burrito (with optional wheat tortilla). Easy to request no cheese or sour cream for vegan dish. chips and salsa was rockin’ good! Other ladies really enjoyed the salmon on salad and fish tacos. Looked great! This is a great place for family dinner, date night, gathering of friends. If you have opportunity to meet the restaurant owner Matthew, take the chance to ask him about his photography on the walls – he has an eye for capturing Cuban culture in photography.
Restaurant Review: David’s Kitchen – Utah
Lunch at the famous David’s Kitchen in Salt Lake City.
When I lived in CA and traveled back to UT, I always made sure to stop in for their amazing Hot & Sour Soup. Excellent Chinese makes a difference… crisp veggies, tasty sauces, great service (like customized pot sticker sauce made to order at your table). Lots of options for vegan and meat eaters. Suitable for business meetings, date nights, family functions.
Restaurant Review: Thai Basil – Utah
Dinner out with new investor friends. Fresh, crisp veggies, flavorful sauces, decent portion sizes. Great variety of veggie, vegan and meat dishes. We enjoyed pineapple curry, pad siew, egg rolls, potstickers, basil tofu stir fry. Quick, nice service. Great spot for business meal, family outings and date nights.
Restaurant Review: Gingers – Utah
Recipe: Family Italian dinner
My mother-in-law hosts family dinner nearly every Sunday. That’s a lot of effort! To take the pressure off her, we hosted Sunday dinner… Italian style!
Easy-peezy chicken parmesan. Instead of breading the chicken breasts, we put two layers of croutons and cheese on top of the chicken. Surprisingly good!
Klint tried a new recipe of cheese tortellini, brocoli, bacon, raisins, and sunflower seeds.
No dinner is complete without my signature green salad. Roasted walnuts, tomatoes and blue cheese.
Klint even made some crème Brule from scratch. I usually don’t eat sugar, so I had him just put cinnamon on the top instead of the customary sugar. I really liked it with only the cinnamon. Give it a try some time!
It’s a lot of fun preparing and cooking with Klint. It’s a labor of love, but we enjoy it! OK, family, manga-manga!
